Ana Navarro very much does not want to talk about the ABC dating show ever again.
The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner is about to get his heart broken before the season even ends.
The View cohost and anti-raccoon defense artist Ana Navarro paused a Hot Topics discussion on Friday’s episode of the talk show to look off-camera and beg producer Brian Teta to stop having the cohosts chat about the reality dating show.
“I have one golden question. Brian, when is this show, The Golden Bachelor, over, so I no longer have to talk about it on Fridays?” Navarro said, turning to Teta. The camera then cut to the EP, who responded, “We have a few more weeks, but, I think we’ll do a couple of extra shows, just for you.”
The Golden Bachelor is the first senior installment of the long-running reality romance franchise. It focuses on Turner, a 71-year-old widower, trying for a second shot at love among a group of 22 women all over age 60.
Sunny Hostin suggested that Turner, who was on the show in September, come back to the program for another interview, which Teta agreed with.
“I think we should do a View-ing party and make her watch,” Sara Haines playfully jabbed as Navarro laughed.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg, who previously held her hands over her face while introducing the Golden Bachelor topic, also suggested dismay over the thought of further covering the show — which shares a network with The View.
“On Friday? We’ll do it on a Friday, okay?” Goldberg said to Teta, referencing the fact that she usually takes Fridays off.
Goldberg was, however, in her seat at the head of the table this Friday, as Joy Behar previously revealed she’d take two days off to work on her New York Comedy Festival play series, Bonkers in the Boroughs.
The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
