We sometimes think about celebrities as being somewhat standoffish and if you would try to approach them on the street, you would likely be pulled back by one of their security guards.

That isn’t the case with every celebrity, however, and there are times when they may even do something unexpected. Of course, we realize that it is important for celebrities to protect themselves, but an act of kindness on occasion really helps to boost their image.

Keith Urban, one of the most popular country music singers was giving a concert, and thousands of fans were enjoying the music. He stopped his concert in the middle, however, and did something completely unexpected.

Two young girls were in the audience and each of them had their own cardboard guitar. When he saw them in the crowd, he felt the need to pull them up on stage.

Little did he know that the two girls were Haley and McKenna Benedict. Haley went on to win the 2022 CCMA Interactive Artist of the Year award but when she was on the stage with Keith Urban, she was only 14 and was just aspiring to become a singer.

She had posted a video to her Facebook page saying that she was hoping to get to meet Urban while he was in town. She also hoped that he would see the video, but he didn’t. It was just by chance that they got invited onto the stage.

When he asked Haley what her dream job was, she said she wanted to be a singer and songwriter. That is when he said, ‘Okay, let’s get a guitar.’

After getting the guitar and helping her to tune the instrument, he stood behind her and gave her the spotlight while she started playing. She played and sang an original song and the audience absolutely loved it.

Keith Urban took another step and posted a video of her performance saying: “I wanna say a HUGE THANK U to Hailey Benedict who blew us away tonite!!!!”
