Snoop Dogg breaks silence after being called out in new Kendrick Lamar song about Drake beef

People have been losing their minds over the references from the rapper on his surprise album

Kendrick Lamar stunned the music world on Friday (November 22) when he casually dropped a new 12-song album and he clearly had to say about Snoop Dogg.

The rap beef between the two hip-hop heavyweights Kendrick Lamar and Drake has been done and dusted for a few months now.

But you wouldn’t know this if you checked under any social media comment section that brings up either of the rappers.

So, when Kendrick dropped his new album GNX on Friday, fans have already been combing through each song trying to make sense of all the references.

And as you can imagine, the rapper seemingly made plenty references to the beef.

One song that did surprise fans, however, was ‘wacced out murals’ where Lamar appeared to take a shot at Snoop Dogg.

In the song, Kendrick says: “Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.”

So back when Drake and K-dot were going head to head, the Canadian rapper ruffled some feathers when he supposedly used AI technology to rap verses that sounded like Snoop and Tupac Shakur’s voices.

Drake eventually removed the song, called Taylor Made Freestyle, from his social media after Tupac’s estate threatened to sue him, according to the BBC.

Snoop, however, had a different reaction and shared the song and reacted to in a video on Instagram, saying: “They did what? When? How? Are you sure? [Sigh] Y’all have a good night.

“Why everybody calling my phone, blowing me up? What the fuck— what happened? What’s going on? I’m going back to bed. Good night.”

And now, in a tweet following the album’s release, Snoop made clear that he took the jab pretty lightly and even praised Kendrick for the album.

He wrote: “K dot new album GNX. It was the edibles west west king.”

While many have taken this to mean Snoop is team Kendrick over Drake, earlier this week, the rapper insisted that he had no side in the ongoing fight at all, NME reports.

However, he did note that Kendrick’s most popular song from the feud, Not Like Us, united the West Coast scene, with the song becoming his fourth number one song, according to the publication.

Now, fans are eagerly waiting to see if Drake will be dropping his own music in response or whether there really is no round 2s in the feud between the stars.
