Billie Eilish Says Girls Are Too Nice To Body-Shame Guys

Billy Eilish has been in the spotlight many times in recent years. As a 21-year-old singer who has really made her mark in history as a celebrity, she has the ability to influence many people around the world.

Sometimes, she uses the platform on social media with more than 110 million followers to talk about her lifestyle choices. She discusses wearing the outfits that she wears that are sometimes oversized and said that she doesn’t want to have people commenting on her body.

She even said that, at one time, she was distraught because of the body shame that she had to undergo. Unfortunately, far too many people have to deal with this type of bullying in their lives.

Recently, she also said there was a double standard of body expectations when you compare men and women. Women will often be ashamed if they don’t have the perfect body but men aren’t scrutinized quite in the same way.

She said: “Nobody ever says a thing about men’s bodies. If you are muscular, cool, if you’re not, cool. If you’re rail thin, cool. If you have a dad bod, cool. If you’re pudgy, love it! Everybody’s happy with it.”

After making the statement to millions of people on social media, there was quite a debate going on. Some were arguing that she was completely wrong with what she had said and were giving their own explanations.

Some were saying that she was correct that women face more criticism but to say that men face no criticism is not correct. Many of the people who expressed their disagreement with what she said also were respectful in their comments.

This is a debate that will just continue to go on and on. It would be impossible to say where it will land, but there is no doubt that it will be coming to a social media post in your area sooner or later.
