In Los Angeles, a father and husband were forced to utilize a concealed firearm to defend his wife and young child from a group of armed thugs that rushed to the entrance to the family’s home. According to reports, the two would-be robbers were forced to escape under a blaze of gunfire coming from the man who defended his family in the face of danger.

This father faced the ultimate test as he was tasked with putting all of his firearm experience to use in defending his home. The robbers, both of whom seemed prepared to enter the house and take whatever they could carry, were caught completely off guard by the quick reactions and deliberate response from the person they planned to turn into a victim.

According to ABC7 the man said, “I guess they decided to try to come at me and come in the house but I have a five-month-old baby and a wife and a nanny in the house and that wasn’t going to happen.”

The thought of letting the bad guys enter his home and have an opportunity to harm his loved ones was not something that the homeowner was okay with. The fact that he must stand his ground and defend what is his was something that is nonnegotiable in his brave eyes.

This wasn’t about money or possessions, he explained, but rather about the loved ones that sat on the other side of the door. He was the last line of defense, and he was not going to fail them. “There was nothing in my house that was worth dying for. But I was willing to die for my family.”

He was asked to jump into action with lightning-fast reactions when a robber ran up behind him at the entrance to the house. There was no time for thought, and countless hours of mental practice kicked in as she sprung to the defense of his loved ones.

The homeowner even took time to discuss the criminals and give them advice for the future, saying, “It’s a matter of time before these people get caught. I think they should just pick a new career before they do end up in jail.”

And he is most likely right. With brazen burglary attempts like that, it is only a matter of time before their luck runs out. However, the question then becomes, will they be put behind bars? In a city like Los Angeles, that is not a given.

Los Angeles politicians have neutered law enforcement to the point that criminals feel as if they have free reign over the city. In that same vein, homeowners and residents like the hero discussed above have come to terms with the fact that they must be ready to take the law into their own hands.

This is yet another example of a good guy with a gun repelling evildoers before they were able to prey on the weak and innocent. While it may make some people uncomfortable, it is clear that America’s Second Amendment is the last line between right and wrong.
