When we start watching videos on Instagram, it’s easy to begin scrolling from one to another without stopping. Some are funny, others are serious, and some we might consider to be a waste of time.

Some people who scroll through Instagram videos, however, may have come across one of Magda Olivero. She certainly does stand out, not only because she is 96 years old but because she has a beautiful soprano voice that still sounds lovely.

If you were to hear her singing and not see her, you would assume that you were listening to a young woman performing. Although she may not be young in age, she certainly is young at heart and her singing voice continues to entertain many down to this day.

She was actually a professional singer and got her start in 1932. She was 22 years old at the time and continued to sing on the radio. She stopped between the years of 1941 and 1951 but then was back to sing opera until she was 71 years old.

It was in 2006 that Magda sang for the Assumption of Mary. Those two songs have been shared on social media, helping her voice to continue despite the passage of time.

Unfortunately, she passed away in 2014 but we can continue to enjoy hearing her sing in this video:
