Donald Trump gets served different meal to everyone else during White House guest dinners

President Donald Trump appears to have a very particular diet

President Donald Trump apparently has very particular food preferences and is even said to munch on a different meal to his White House dinner guests.

The 78-year-old, who has already made some massive changes since heading back to office, doesn’t appear to be changing his diet anytime soon.

This is according to Trump’s former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who claimed the POTUS could go 14 to 16 hours without eating.

What does Donald Trump eat at a White House dinner party?

During his first tenure, Trump was said to have eaten a slightly different meal to the other guests on the table.

In his 2017 book, Let Trump Be Trump, Lewandowski wrote: “With the salad course, Trump is served what appears to be Thousand Island dressing instead of the creamy vinaigrette for his guests.

“When the chicken arrives, he is the only one given an extra dish of sauce.

“At the dessert course, he gets two scoops of vanilla ice cream with his chocolate cream pie, instead of the single scoop for everyone else.”

What does Donald Trump eat on a daily basis?

Lewandowski claimed Trump regularly skipped breakfast but would have bacon and eggs if he’s pushed.

For lunch, he reportedly went for meatloaf or a slightly overcooked steak with ketchup.

And then for dinner, the former campaign manager claimed the president would go all out with two McDonald’s Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish, and a small chocolate shake, which is around 2,430 calories.

If he wasn’t up for Maccies, he was said to opt for a KFC bucket.

The possible reason why Trump likes to eat a lot of fast food from big chains could due to his alleged fear of being poisoned.

In his 2018 book, Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, journalist Michael Wolff claimed Trump ‘had a longtime fear of being poisoned, one reason why he liked to eat at McDonald’s – nobody knew he was coming and the food was safely premade’.

“I’m a very clean person. I like cleanliness. I think you’re better off going there than someplace you have no idea where the food is coming from. It’s a certain standard,” Trump explained during the CNN South Carolina town hall debate in 2016.

“The one thing about the big franchises: one bad hamburger, you can destroy McDonald’s. One bad hamburger, you take Wendy’s and all these other places and they’re out of business.

“I think the food is good. I think all of those places, Burger King, McDonald’s, I can live with it.

“The other night I had Kentucky Fried Chicken. Not the worst thing in the world.”
