Hurricane Milton is pounding the west coast of Florida today with strong storms that are destroying homes and causing power outages.
At 23:00 (local time) 07:00 Albania time the wind speed has decreased to 165 km/h making Milton a Category 2 hurricane, but still very dangerous.
Hurricane Milton was moving off from Florida’s east coast into the Atlantic on Thursday morning, as heavy rain and wind continued to lash parts of the state. A storm surge warning is in place for much of the state’s east coast and parts of its west coast. At least four people were killed, officials in St. Lucie County said, a result of tornadoes that hit Wednesday before the center of the storm crashed ashore. Milton’s destruction will become clearer as the day goes on, but in many pockets, the severity was already evident. More than 3 million customers were without power as of Thursday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
