Oklahoma Republican Rep. Josh Breechen introduced a bill that proposed eliminating John Kerry’s role as the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate. Breechen’s new bill is titled the Stop Climate Hysteria in Diplomacy Act.
Rep. Breechen slammed Joe Biden for labeling climate change as an “existential threat” to further the expansion of bureaucracy in the federal government. The GOP Representative maintained that John Kerry utilized the position to interject the climate change agenda into American diplomacy unnecessarily.
“President Biden has used the excuse that climate change is an existential threat to create additional bureaucracy inside the State Department. The Climate Change Support Office is nothing more than a pet project for John Kerry to integrate climate change into all aspects of American foreign policy decisions,” Brecheen stated.
Breechen maintains that the legislation emphasizes American national security instead of the politicized climate change agenda. “With this bill, Congress can eliminate a useless office and prevent the United States from prioritizing radical climate policy over our national security,” he said.
John Kerry recently stated that the “biggest thing” he is personally doing to fight climate change is “traveling around the world, trying to do diplomacy.” Kerry’s trips around the globe have been criticized as hypocritical by many for utilizing a high carbon-emitting jet.
Regarding his climate change-oriented lifestyle habits, Kerry stated, “Indeed, I have. I have a solar system for my home. I drive an electric car now. I still have the one internal combustion engine vehicle, which is being traded for another electric car, and we’re making more conscious decisions about our use of energy within the house. I mean, I’ve become a flagrant light switch-chaser whenever I walk through a room or a building.” When Kerry isn’t flying around the world on a jet, he is sure to drive an EV and turn off the lights.
“Yes, I think there’s a new consciousness. Am I doing everything that I should be or could be? Probably not. But I’m super conscious of the need to try to all of us do what we can to make a contribution here. The biggest thing I’m doing in my lifestyle is traveling around the world, trying to do diplomacy and help make a larger decision in the context of Glasgow that could reduce a lot of the anxiety that we’re all living with today about where we’re headed,” he continued.
The U.S. House of Representatives has taken a variety of recent legislative action, attacking the woke bureaucratic state. For example, a recent bill was introduced by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene that would reduce Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s salary to just $1. Republicans have long been critical of Buttiegieg’s job as Transportation Czar.
“I’m proud to announce my amendment to FIRE Pete Buttigieg just PASSED the House. Pothole Pete staged fake bike rides to the White House and used private planes funded by taxpayers to receive awards for the way certain people have sex,” Greene said. “American taxpayers should not be on the hook for paying for his lavish trips or his salary.”
