2024 GOP hopeful, Trump ally, and successful entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy tore into the “corrupt media” during the third GOP debate on Wednesday night, ripping into the RNC for having NBC host the debate despite its far-left leanings of the network and its hosts.
Particularly, Ramaswamy argued that the RNC should have gotten a well-liked non-leftist to host it, throwing out a dream panel of Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, and Joe Rogan. He then contrasted them with who the RNC actually had hosting the event, leftists like Kristen Welker.
Beginning, he said, “Think about who’s moderating this debate, this should be Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk. We’d have 10 times the viewership, asking questions the GOP primary voters actually care about and bring in more people to our party. We got Kristen Welker here, you think the Democrats would actually hire Greg Gutfeld to host a Democratic debate?”
Continuing, he added, “The fact of the matter, and Kristen I’m gonna use this time cause this is actually about you and the media and the corrupt media establishment, ask you the Trump-Russia collusion hoax that you pushed on this network for years — was that real? Or was that Hillary Clinton made up disinformation? Answer the question. Go.”
While even Welker smiled at Vivek’s response and the crowd went wild with applause over Vivek’s calling out the RNC on its Establishment nonsense, the agents of the Establishment were predictably unhappy, with Fox News leading the charge in attacking Vivek after the debate.
Fox and Friends led that attack on Vivek after the debate, echoing the attacks of leftists with co-host Ainsley Earhardt suggesting that Vivek is misogynistic for daring to criticise regime shill Nikki Haley. Earhardt said, “Women don’t appreciate it. When you go after your daughter and your high heels, it’s sexist.”
Agreeing, Steve Doocy (not to be confused with Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy) said, “He had a terrible night.” Continuing, Doocy reacted with horror to Vivek’s attacks on the MSM, saying, “He attacked the people who were hosting the event on television, NBC, and he attacked Ronna McDaniel, by name, and he attacked Nikki Haley. And so that that was pretty much his play. And he was in it. He was an attack dog last night.”
The other host, Brian Kilmeade, responded somewhat paternalistically to Vivek’s attacks on the media and RNC Establishment, saying, “Vivek is throwing bombs, and he’s trying to be unorthodox. As a [38]-year-old, he feels maybe that’s necessary.”
Doocy also praised, of all people, former New Jersey Governor and prominent Trump critic Chris Christie, saying, “I know Chris Christie, it’s hard to see a path. But man, is he good.” Doocy further noted that it’s time for those with no chance of winning to drop out, saying, “DeSantis and Haley, way ahead for the most part. You got to figure, it’s time for Ramaswamy and Tim Scott and Chris Christie to start to consider dropping out.”
