Netflix’s popular series “Baby Reindeer” has propelled its cast, notably Richard Gadd as Donny and Jessica Gunning as Martha, into the limelight.

Martha’s relentless pursuit of Donny is depicted through a staggering volume of communication: more than 41,000 emails, 350 hours of voicemails, numerous social media messages, and 106 pages of letters, affectionately addressing him as ‘baby reindeer’.

Originally conceived as a stage play by the Scottish comedian, the production earned an Olivier Award, shedding light on Richard’s past struggles with suicidal thoughts stemming from the menacing presence of a stalker. Recent reports suggest Richard has found success under a different name, while the real-life Martha was interviewed by Piers Morgan.

Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed a tribute in the sixth episode dedicated to Llewellyn Harrison, credited throughout the season as the camera crew’s ‘key grip’. Llewellyn’s role involved managing equipment logistics and camera placement, contributing his expertise to various television shows and movies, including “Top Boy” and “The Marvels”.

A JustGiving page was established to support Llewellyn’s family, initially aiming to raise £500 but swiftly surpassing expectations with donations exceeding £12,000. Colleagues fondly remember him as a beloved mentor and friend, expressing profound sadness at his sudden departure.
