Mom Breastfed Her Baby To Death, And Her Family Is Trying To Keep Her Out Of Jail

A desperate mother named Celina Juarez has been charged with the murder of her eight-month-old baby after smothering the child to death with her breast. Juarez struggled to breastfeed her infant twins and has since been charged with murder since one of her twin daughters died at her breast. Although prosecutors believe that Juarez, who is a young mother of three, deserves to be sent away to prison, the defendant is pleading to the public to give her donations so she can get help.

Juarez, 29, was arrested in San Jose after police learned that she allegedly murdered her eight-month-old baby girl Melani by smothering the child with her breast while trying to feed the twin girl.

The young mother held her daughter against her breast for ten minutes on November 4, 2022. Even though the baby girl “kicked” and “gasped for air,” mom continued to hold her against her breast as she tried to get the baby girl to breastfeed. Mom became so frustrated with her baby girl that she held her against her breast until she stopped moving and was no longer breathing.

In a photo obtained by Daily Mail and shared above, you can see 29-year-old Juarez with her daughter Melani, and Melani’s twin sister, Zari. The children are accompanied by their two-year-old brother and the children’s father. Juarez’s family is standing by the mother as they plead to the public to help them by providing donations that will be used to get the murderous mother help.

Although the Juarez family claims it was all an accident, police say otherwise. Cops believe that the mother murdered her baby girl intentionally by depriving the child of oxygen while smothering her with her breast.

However, Juarez’s family believes the mother was simply in a tough situation when she killed the infant because she was struggling to take care of her toddler son and the twin girls at the same time. Now, her husband, Artemio, is fundraising for his wife’s defense in a campaign entitled “Celina’s freedom” that has raised some money so far.

The family is seeking ten thousand dollars of donations. So far they have received more than three thousand dollars from generous people who believe the mother simply made a terrible mistake by smothering her infant daughter to death with her breast.

“Those who know her, know this is not in her character. She has devoted her entire life to children and her life revolves around our children and our family. There are two sides to every story and we need all the help we can get to give Celina the chance to say hers! This judgment is not right she is a victim here too,” Artemio said.

Friends of the family have come to the mother’s defense.

“We love her and we know the truth, and we wish everyone can be more aware of mental health and that nobody is immune, she is going through a tragedy and she deserves the freedom and mental health services, not incarcerating her for an accident,” Jesus Carbajal said.

“This is a mother who needs help, not to be vilified,” said Crystal Conroy, another friend.
