Every time a Marvel trailer drops, you know that fans are doing to dissect it top to bottom, looking for every small detail they can.
Whilst that is true, the new Deadpool and Wolverine trailer has been particularly juicy for Marvel fans – as it is top to bottom full of easter eggs and references.
One of them has had fans freaking out, as they have noticed Ant-Man’s skull is being used as a base by the likely villain of the film, Cassandra Nova.
That is not the only reference though, as Marvel fanatics think they have figured out something that this links the film to.
It’s not clear where and when Ant-man’s skull is, as the film hints to there being both dimensional and time funny business.
This could be how they kill off the MCU’s Ant-man (which after the last film would be a welcome reprieve), or it could just be a random reference from another universe.
Though fans think they’ve figured it out.
In the Disney+ show Loki, the titular character enters something called ‘The Void’ a pocket dimension at the end of time.
For the less nerdy amongst you – essentially they go to a creepy wasteland where there are a bunch of other Lokis and a creepy cloud monster.
One of the shots in Loki features a giant helmet of Yellowjacket, the villain from the first Ant-man film.

A fan posted the theory to the subreddit r/marvelstudios, saying: “Could the helmet in the Deadpool Trailer be connected to the Yellow Jacket one in Loki?”
The idea that the pair killed off one another in a knockdown fight is a convincing one, and could explain the Ant-man skull.
Commenters have been divided on the theory, with some unconvinced – whilst another said: “Could be. People have been pointing out several similarities between the show and the trailers for the movie.”
As well as Matthew Macfadyen’s character being a member of the Time Variance Authority (TVA), one of the core plot points from the Disney+ show, there is also other references.
The goons being mowed down by Reynolds’ Deadpool and Jackman’s Wolverine are TVA soldiers, and a villainous cloud (no really) from Loki by the name of Alioth makes an appearance.

This has had fans excited for a possible Loki continuation, with the show – arguably Disney+’s most celebrated outside of Wandavision – ending with season two.
One fan posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), saying: “All I cared about w the Deadpool trailer was seeing Alioth.
“I WANT to be spoiled in case a certain trickster shows up.”
Another added: “Alioth and the TVA are in the Deadpool 3 trailer, the official Loki account reposted the trailer, a lot of cameos are confirmed, and a lot of the movie supposedly takes place in the void. We are so back”.
