Andre the Giant once left passengers ‘crying, screaming, and puking’ after taking giant poo on plane

Andre the Giant may be remembered as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, but he’s also a man so respected that even his bowel movements have become the stuff of legend.

Known as ‘The Eighth Wonder of the World’, Andre the Giant lived up to his moniker – growing to a height of 7-foot-4-inches and weighing in at around 550lbs.

And whether it was being the very first inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame or selling out arenas all over the country, there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to the in-ring performances of the man born André René Roussimoff. However, there’s also plenty of stories from his time on the road (or in the air, in this case).

Along with tales of drinking 120+ beers in one sitting and passing out in hotel lobbies unable to be moved, fellow former WWE Superstar Brutus Beefcake recently shared a tale that would bring tears to anybody’s eyes.

Speaking on the WSI Wrestling Shoot Inteviews YouTube channel, Beefcake – real name Edward Harrison Leslie – recalled how Andre once left passengers “screaming” and “crying” after going to the bathroom on a plane.

The 66-year-old revealed that he, Andre, and a number of other wrestlers were traveling on a 747 plane back from Tokyo when the real-life giant had to go to the restroom.

“As big as those planes were and everything, [Andre] still couldn’t get into the bathroom,” Brutus recalled. So, when the former champ was left needing to go to the bathroom, staff had no choice but to string up a garbage bag between two drinks trollies as a makeshift toilet for the Giant.

“So, basically, they pulled the curtains,” Brutus said. “And Andre goes to town, buddy! And I mean, he is ripping farts that just sound like… they’re not human. I’ve never heard anything like it.”

“The smell that started coming out from under the curtains,” he continued, “There was people falling out of their seats and into the aisles. Gagging. Puking. You know? Crying. Screaming.

“And [the other wrestlers], we were all falling on the floor just laughing ourselves sick,” Brutus said, laughing as he remembered the story.

“He must have half filled up the garbage bag full of s**t,” he added. “He could eat friggin’ 20lbs of food at a sitting… so he’s s***ing 20lbs.”

He then recalls how the flight attendants – some of whom were also vomitting – fought to tie up the garbage bag and then sent it down in an elevator.

Brutus then recalled how a laughing Andre then returned to his seat and immediately started asking for more wine and food.

Yes, Andre may have been a physical giant, but it was the size of his character that meant that we’re still talking about him nearly three decades after his passing. What a legend!
