Study Shows Men Focused On Family Prefer Women Without Makeup

There are two types of women in the world, those who enjoy wearing makeup and those who avoid wearing makeup. It seems as if this is more than a personal choice, however, men also weigh in on the situation.

According to some studies, men who have family values in mind tend to gravitate toward women who do not wear makeup. It seems as if there is more to this story than meets the eye, and the study helps to point that out.

One of the difficult parts about this situation is how makeup can make a woman seem more attractive than she really is. This may be part of the reason why men tend to look toward women with no makeup, especially if they want to get into a serious relationship.

The study even showed that men were able to determine if a woman was wearing makeup, even if they didn’t know much about makeup itself. Those men who were looking for longer-term relationships could detect the makeup within 50 ms.

Something else that was interesting about the study is the perception of women wearing makeup. Men tended to rate them lower as potential long-term partners within a very short amount of exposure time. In other words, men do tend to pay attention to the physical characteristics of the women they are looking to when considering a long-term relationship.

Cosmetics are not something to be vilified, however, because it can make women appear more attractive and it can even make them feel better about themselves. Some studies have even shown that women use makeup to hide uneven facial features or to seem healthier.
