Teacher gets revenge and films music video with her students after parents got her fired for her rapping

She was asked to delete her rap videos or give up her teaching job

A teacher who was fired for her rap videos has hit back by filming a collaboration with her former students.

US teacher Domonique Brown, also known as “Drippin Honey”, was reportedly let go from her position as a history teacher from a school in Detroit, after a parent complained about her online rap videos.

Now in the ultimate revenge she has recorded ‘DRIPPIN 101’ featuring many of her former students.

Writing on Instagram, Brown explained: “Recently, I was forced to leave my position due to me being a Rapper. A single parent’s disapproval led to my dismissal.”

She continued: “The parent wished to stay Anonymous after contacting my job for months, I’ve been dealing with this since I dropped “Drippin 101” .. 5 months later Meetings after meetings defending my involvement in the music industry I was asked to erase all my content that’s when I knew I HAVE TO BET ON MYSELF CUZ NOBODY WILL IF I DONT.”

Brown then hit back at the decision and the impact on her students as she wrote: “What troubles me most about this situation is the lack of consideration for the impact and influence I have had on my students’ lives.

“My outside life should not be grounds for termination when it does not interfere with my ability to fulfill my responsibilities as a teacher. My dedication, professionalism, and passion for education have always been unwavering, regardless of any personal pursuits I may have.”

In her social media post with a clip of her new rap video, she also slammed the decision to let her go as she claimed she had been “overshadowed” by judgements. She wrote: “It is worth noting that when I was hired as a teacher, my involvement in the music industry as a rapper did not hinder my candidacy.

“I was judged based on my qualifications, experience, and potential to positively impact the lives of my students. Yet, now, my commitment and contributions seem to be overshadowed by arbitrary judgments about my personal life.”

Comments on Brown’s Instagram post praised her as one fan wrote: “Don’t quit! Be a teacher rapper.”

Another shared: “It’s very clear that her students love her… we finally get a teacher who really understands and cares and we fire them??? Gods got a blessing with her name on it… watch and see… keep shining baby girl… pretty soon the light will be to bright to dim…”

A third added: “What a person do off the clock isn’t there concern”.

Brown, who has been a teacher for seven years then explained that she’d had a huge outpouring of support with over 200 signatures from parents and students who wanted to see her reinstated.
