Man with three wives urges people to think outside ‘inherited’ belief system as he opens up about unconventional relationship

A polyamorous man with three wives encourages people to look outside of their ‘inherited’ belief system when it comes to relationships.

Mazayah Andrews, 38, lives in Miami with his three wives, Stephanie Almonte, Rosa Zelaya, both 30, and Dezeray Carrera, 23 – who he says all call him ‘King’.

Mazayah and Stephanie initially started a monogamous relationship back in 2016, but two years later, the couple split, leading Mazayah to start a relationship with Rosa.

Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Stephanie said: “I continued to try and rekindle our relationship the whole time, and then when he split from Rosa we all sat down and had a conversation and said ‘I want to be with you, she wants to be with you, I like girls, so if that makes you happy then we’re happy‘.”

She also really wanted to rekindle their relationship because of her pregnancy, adding that she didn’t want to ‘let him go’.

When Dezeray was introduced, the transition into a polyamorous relationship wasn’t ‘as hard as you would think’.

She continued to say: “I am used to getting to know more than one person at a time, the challenge is exciting for me.

“Being in a poly relationship is everything I ever wanted. I feel like I manifested it, it came pretty easy to me.”

He said: “We all live in one household. So it’s not like polygamy, this is polyamarous.

“So that means my wives are also bisexual, so as we all live together it’s like a collective building and brings financial stability.”

As well as ‘multiple income streams’, the house is ‘always clean’, with Mazayah adding that they also have ‘multiple houses, condos and properties’.

They also share and parent their 11 children equally – with Mazayah describing polyamory as ‘teamwork and nurturing’.

However, with any polyamorous relationship, there’s the topic of the little green monster.

Host Rochelle said if her husband ‘had got with someone else I couldn’t help but feeling jealous’, which Stephanie said she would have agreed with – at least in the beginning.

She continued: “I’m not going to lie, when I was pregnant it was hard seeing him with another woman.

“That was in the beginning, but after seeing that she makes in happy in ways that I couldn’t, it felt silly to be jealous over that.”

When asked what people may think of their unconventional relationship, he encouraged others to consider another perspective.

He said: “You don’t have to be stuck to one thing, or do what was passed down through a generation who really didn’t have access to the things we do now.

“Your religion or whatever you are in now, isn’t your own, it was passed down from your great grandfather, grandfather, mother all the way down to yourself, so if you really sit down and think about it, you inherited a religion.

“Always go out there and be yourself, because there is more to that education that we had prior, compared to what we have now it’s beyond different.”
