The first trailer for the Band of the Brothers sequel has finally dropped and fans have been sent into a frenzy.
Two decades after the award-winning original and the highly anticipated sequel is nearly here.
Apple TV+ dropped the first trailer for American war drama earlier today (6 December), and fans are loving it.
The series – titled Masters of the Air – comprises of nine parts and is based on the 2007 book Masters of the Air: America’s Bomber Boys Who Fought the Air War Against Nazi Germany by Donald L. Miller.
The official synopsis, as per Apple TV+, states: “During World War II, airmen risk their lives with the 100th Bomb Group, a brotherhood forged by courage, loss, and triumph.”
Prepare to hold on for take off:
The show stars Elvis’ Austin Butler, alongside Saltburn‘s Barry Keoghan and Callum Turner (The Boys in the Boat) as well as the likes of Anthony Boyle (Game of Thrones), King Richard‘s Josiah Cross and Sex Education‘s Ncuti Gatwa.
The executive producers of the series are Gary Goetzman, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg – Hanks and Spielberg having co-created the original miniseries Band of Brothers and Goetzman having co-produced it.
Apple TV shared the first trailer for Masters of the Air on X – formerly known as Twitter – earlier today.
The caption reads: “From the executive producers of Band of Brothers and The Pacific, the official Masters of the Air trailer is here. The nine-part series event premieres January 26.”
And fans of the original miniseries are flooding to social media in excitement over the follow-up after seeing its first trailer.
