Lily Lu is a transgender woman who isn’t your average mom – or dad, as she still likes to call herself. Lily, who’s frequently slapped with judgements for her head-to-toe tattooed body and extreme modifications, insists she’s a “caring and loving dad” to her teenage daughter, who started tattooing as a 2-year-old.
Germany’s Lily Lu seems to be chasing shock from anyone who catches a glimpse of her terrifying modifications.
The independent filmmaker from Tengen, Germany, is covered head-to-toe in tattoos, piercings, and extreme modifications.
“100% of my body is covered in ink,” she tells the Daily Mail. “My looks don’t matter – it’s just a collection, and sometimes that grows and sometimes [it is] less.”
The influencer has had her nipples and belly button removed, as well as parts of her ears and a finger.
Lily has tattooed her tongue, the whites of her eyes, and under her fingernails – so there’s no untouched skin – forked her tongue and added colored ceramic veneers – mostly black – to her mouth.
But her transformation doesn’t stop here.
“Right now I’m in transition and changing my gender from male to female, which is also a crazy ride and a big modification process,” she said. “At some point, it doesn’t matter anymore. It’s my lifestyle and a part of me. My goal is to live and enjoy life.”
“Being weird is a superpower,” she writes on her Instagram to her almost 100,000 followers.
She also speaks to a Facebook audience of about 60,000, and on TikTok, the self-proclaimed “alien trans-girl” has collected 1.6 million likes from people fascinated by her peculiar look.
Lily said: “Mostly my looks are associated with using drugs and [that I will] not be hired, and not get an apartment – it’s so silly,” Lilly told the Daily Mail.
Finding a home is not a problem for the trans woman, who claims to own multiple properties that she rents out to tenants.
And, according to Lilly, she lives “super healthily” – a shocking admission given all the ink she’s injected in her skin.
“I personally don’t drink, don’t smoke, and have not used drugs for 20 years,” the tattoo artist said. “I do sports every day, and eat healthy, freshly cooked food. I run Ultra Trail races and do a lot of active stuff.”
She added: “I mostly don’t even eat sugar and now I’m even [cutting] down on coffee.”
Lily is also a present and loving parent to a 14-year-old Maya, who’s following in the footsteps of her “daddy.”
When Maya was only two, she picked up a tattoo gun and scribbled her first tattoo on Lily’s foot.
“It was just as normal as painting on paper for her,” the proud dad tells the New York Post of his daughter, who at 9 started tattooing customers at Psyland 25, her father’s studio. “I always tell her to do whatever she feels like and go for her dreams.”
“I spend a lot of time with my daughter and I am a very caring and loving dad,” said Lily, who despite identifying as a woman, refers to herself as a “daddy.” “Most people who know me know me as a dad and know how high my daughter is in my [list of] priorities. It’s not a big secret that I’m a good daddy.”
As Lily continues to share glimpses of her life on social media, fans have flooded her comments, many skeptical about how her bold choices affect her parenting style.
