The View host Joy Behar slams ‘idiot’ Travis Kelce and says she doesn’t want Taylor Swift to end up with him

Joy Behar has been doing some investigating into Travis Kelce, and she doesn’t like what she’s found.

The Kansas City Chiefs star is romantically linked to Taylor Swift, and most Swifties appear to be in favor of their new relationship.

But The Views Behar has her doubts.

On Thursday’s episode of the show (November 16), the panel were discussing the celebrity pair’s romance and resurfaced tweets of Kelce‘s from a decade ago.

In one tweet, the footballer spoke about cheerleaders having back fat.

It read: “Why can’t girls hide they back fat?

“I feel like if you want to be a cheerleader, you have to pass a beauty test. There’s too many ugly cheerleaders out here.”

Ouch.

Another tweet read out by Behar said: “Damn, the Clippers girls gotta be the girls that don’t make the Lakers team ’cause they was all ugly.”

The 81-year-old went on to hail Kelce as being ‘illiterate’.

When asked by co-star Whoopi Goldberg why she cared so much about what the NFL star said in the past, she explained: “I’m a Swiftie. I love her because she’s getting young people out to vote so I don’t want her to be stuck with this idiot.”

But the rest of the panel were more forgiving of Kelce’s previous tweets and noted that they were a long time ago.

“We documented everything,” said Alyssa Farah Griffin.

“You gotta give people a little grace and hope that the way he treats women now is reflective of how he is as an adult.”

Goldberg added: “Young people do young people stuff.

“What you said 25 years ago, may not be the way that you feel this time.

“So everybody needs to lighten up and let these people do what they want to do.”

The View viewers also came to Kelce’s defense.

One person penned online: “He was young then and social media was still new. He has clearly grown up since those deleted tweets.

“Joy needs to watch the interview he did about the mistakes he made in college, how his brother saved him and helped him grow.”

Another person went on: “We all say dumb things as kids, then most of us grow up and evolve. Quit judging folks for saying silly things when they were kids!”

“Oh please if we all were held to account what we said 10 years we would all be out of jobs,” quipped a third.

UNILAD has contacted Kelce’s reps for comment.
