These are the ten most beautiful women in the world according to the ‘golden ratio’

The ‘golden ratio’ determines how aesthetically pleasing something is

The 10 most beautiful women in the world have been revealed, according to the ‘golden ratio’.

The ‘golden ratio’ refers to a specific mathematical ideal which uses set measurements to determine how aesthetically pleasing something is.

In terms of beauty standards, the theory suggests that the gap between the nose, mouth and eyes on a person’s face directly correlates to beauty.

It’s important to note that beauty is of course, subjective, and refers to people of all shapes, sizes and facial features.

How is the golden ration calculated?

To calculate the golden ratio, the length and width of the face should be measured, before dividing the length by the width.

Experts say the ideal number should be around 1.62.

The distances between the facial features can also be measured, for example the hairline to the eyes, the gap between the eyes and the distance between the bottom of the nose and the chin.

Essentially, the closer the ratio is to 1.62, the higher the golden ratio score.

How is the golden ratio used?

Beauty experts at London Facial Plastic Surgery have explained that the ratio is used to identify the ‘most appealing face features’.

Dr Julian De Silva explained: “At my clinic, we use digital mapping to study facial aspects like eyes, lips, and nose.

“We then set these against the Golden Ratio to determine the most pleasing features.

“We use a software to analyse face photos, measuring aspects like the gap between the nose, eyes, and lips. These measures are then matched with the Golden Ratio to gauge their similarity.

“Typically, the method marks crucial spots on a face, like eye corners, mouth corners, and the nose tip. The program then uses these markers to figure out facial proportions and ratios. It then contrasts these with the perfect proportions from the Golden Ratio.”

Jodie Comer, a British actor best known for her roles in Killing Eve and The Bikeriders, came in the number one spot.

Dr De Silva said: “From what I’ve seen, Jodie Comer stands out as she ticks almost all boxes for facial perfection. Comer’s lip and nose position scored a high 98.7 percent.

“She also topped the charts for her nose’s dimensions and ranked high for her lip shape and eye position. Comer’s chin is gracefully shaped.

“Moreover, Comer’s facial structure is notably solid. The only area where she scored slightly lower was Comer’s eyebrows, which is 88 percent.”
